There is much to admire in McNair Evans‘ photos especially how he uses light.
For the second week running the Friday music video pays tribute to the passing of a great musician.
The video below is of legendary jazz drummer Paul Motian, here performing with the brilliant Israeli pianist Anat Fort and Gary Wang on bass. For more than 50 years Motian was a key figure in jazz playing alongside the likes of Keith Jarrett and Bill Evans, and in later years leading his own band and composing as well as supporting many younger jazz musicians. Motian died on Tuesday, aged 80. Obituary.
Barbara Cole’s work is lovely, blurring the line between photography and painting.
In memory of Jackie Leven who died, aged 61, of cancer earlier this week. RIP Jackie.
